Poster Contest
for 3rd - 6th grade classes
We are delighted that your class will be touring the tidepools of Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. The chance to see and learn about marine creatures in their natural setting is always a thrill for children.
It is our hope that in the preparation for and follow-up to your visit, you will emphasize that every visitor has a responsibility to preserve this unique and fragile habitat and to protect the animals and plants which inhabit it. We invite your students to share this message with others by designing an entry for our poster contest. See details below.
Theme: How can I protect marine life at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve?
What to do:
- Think about the theme and illustrate it, using crayons, felt pens, watercolors or paper collage. Size: 8 ½" x 11".
- Print clearly on the back of poster:

Entries will be judged on:
- Relevance to the theme
- Originality of the message
- Creativity and quality of work
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given in each class. Winning posters will be displayed at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.
